Will you be ‘obeying’ King Charles III and swearing loyalty to a foreign King today? King Charles III’s coronation is being held today, 6 May 2023 at Westminster Abbey in London in front of about 2200 guests.
"I swear that I will pay true allegiance to Your Majesty, and to
your heirs and successors according to law – so help me God."
The push is also on to have everyone
else say the same words wherever you are when King Charles III is crowned King
of Australia. Never in my lifetime has there been a stronger reminder that
it's time for us to have an Australian Head of State who truly represents and
understands our values, culture, and ideals.
