Australia has his blessing to take the step into independence.
The
comments from Australia's future Head of State were made at the opening
of a Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Rwanda.

Only 15 of 54 nations in the Commonwealth, including the UK, still have the Queen as Head of State.
Six
of those remaining 15 have announced plans to become a republic: these
are Belize, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, and
Saint Kitts and Nevis.
